A local-first personal capture and memory system built around one idea: one capture, many experiences.

The idea
RAM is designed for moments when the mind is holding several unrelated things at once. Instead of deciding whether a thought belongs in a task list, journal, shopping list, project, or idea board before capturing it, the user can put it in RAM first.
The system preserves the original capture while extracting useful atomic memories that can appear in the right places later.
Current foundation
- Natural mixed capture. One brain dump can contain tasks, purchases, thoughts, ideas, references, and more.
- Atomic memories. Useful items are separated without losing their relationship to the original capture.
- Original wording preserved. RAM keeps the source moment instead of silently replacing it with an interpretation.
- Many views, one record. Priority, timing, shopping, workflow, and other facets can stack rather than forcing a single category.
- History as a pillar. Captures and meaningful changes form a personal chronology intended to become more useful over time.
- Local-first core. The canonical personal database is designed to remain on the device rather than depend on a RAM cloud account.
Availability
RAM is not a public release yet. This page exists to describe the project and its direction without exposing the development runtime as a public product.
Installation instructions and direct access will be added when the product reaches an appropriate public milestone.
