DuaOnDevice
DuaOnDevice v1.1.0 Smart Search is public.
Authentic Duas, available fully offline and on-device — with verifiable sources. DuaOnDevice remains the provenance-first companion to AyahOnDevice, now adding optional fully local semantic retrieval without generating or rewriting religious text.
A NivareQ™ project
Meet DuaOnDevice
DuaOnDevice is a provenance-first Dua reference app for browsing, searching, saving and annotating a curated collection of 199 canonical records. Every canonical entry carries a traceable source reference, and reported grading is preserved where applicable.
Companion to AyahOnDevice
- Two focused tools in one local-first family. AyahOnDevice is NivareQ’s Ayah-identification and Quran-reader product. DuaOnDevice is its companion reference app for source-traceable Duas from the Quran, Prophetic Sunnah and Companion/Athar material.
- Retrieval, never generated religious text. Canonical Arabic, source records, transliterations and meanings come from the bundled curated corpus. Smart Search retrieves likely records from that corpus; it does not author, rewrite or substitute religious text.
Smart Search — fully local and optional
- Multilingual E5 Small on-device. Smart Search uses the q8 browser representation of Multilingual E5 Small with single-thread WASM and a dedicated Web Worker for local inference.
- 199-record precomputed index. A corpus-hash-bound document-vector index ships with the app, so normal Smart Search embeds only the user’s query and ranks the existing canonical records.
- Deterministic safeguards stay in the path. Exact, context and transliteration matching remain available alongside semantic retrieval, while user-created My Duas stay separate and lexical/local-only.
- Offline after preparation. Initial Smart Search preparation requires network access to obtain the browser model/runtime resources. After those resources are cached, retrieval can run locally without sending search text to a cloud inference service.
199 records with traceable provenance
- 74 Quran Duas. Quran-sourced records keep Quran provenance explicit, with Uthmani and IndoPak display where applicable.
- 122 Prophetic Sunnah Duas. Every canonical Sunnah record carries a source citation and verification link; reported grading is preserved rather than flattened into a blanket claim.
- 3 Companion/Athar records. Companion/Athar provenance remains visibly distinct from Quran and Prophetic Sunnah material.
Reading and personal continuity
- English and বাংলা reading aids. English and Bengali transliteration and meaning aids accompany the canonical source material without replacing it.
- Saved notes and My Duas. Save canonical entries with personal titles or notes, while user-created My Duas remain separate from the canonical collection and neural index.
- Backup, themes and installable PWA use. Versioned personal backup/restore, nine themes and installable PWA behavior remain preserved in v1.1.
